What is Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)?
Peritoneal dialysis (PD) utilizes the lining of a patient’s abdomen to filter waste from their blood. It’s a home-based treatment that can be performed even during sleep. There are two types: Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) and Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD).
Our service
Nephro Arabia’s Dialysis Program empowers patients to conduct peritoneal dialysis at home. The program offers training, support, and supplies, led by a team including nurses, nephrologists, educators, dietitians, social workers, and administrative staff.
Patients undergo one to two weeks of personalized training to confidently perform peritoneal dialysis independently. Nursing support is available for troubleshooting via phone, and equipment and supplies are delivered to their doorstep. Clinic visits occur every one to three months for ongoing care.
