What is Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)?
Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is a treatment that uses your abdomen’s lining to clean waste from your blood. Peritoneal dialysis (PD) might be one of the treatment options that can be done at home and can even be done while you sleep, and there is two type:
Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD)
Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD)

The Peritoneal Dialysis program team includes nurses, nephrologists, patient educators, dietitians, social workers, administrative and program staff.
Patients can learn to perform peritoneal dialysis independently. It generally takes one to two weeks of one-on-one training using a variety of learning strategies for a patient and/or caregiver to become confident performing peritoneal dialysis on their own.
